We are calling all Mommies & Daddy-to-be’s to join our exciting competition. It's simple and fun for all the pregnant ladies out there to win a great prize.

So what do you have to do you say..well it's easy...

Send me a pretty/creative pregnant picture of you and your partner being a mommy & daddy-to-be. You can email your picture to itteybittybottoms@gmail.com. Where we will then upload it to our Facebook page Ittey Bitty Bottoms - The Diaper Bakery under the Mommy & Daddy-To-Be Competition Gallery.

So what can you win:

1st Prize – Cape Town Based winner only
A Complete Babyshower Package – Consisting of the following:

Not enough hours in the day...

Being a new mommy working full time, having a business on the side and of course having a house hold to run there is just not enough hours in the day...Don't get me wrong i love what i do but sometimes when your having fun the hours just fly away.

I have wondered some times how does other mommies do it, i have asked the question to my husband "do you think its just us", "are we the only one's that wish for that 5 minutes of me time". Well i have figured it out...we are not alone...sounds like an X-File series, but other parents i'm sure feel the same. Some little Alien running around turning the world you used to know as peacefull and quiet upside down. Funny thing is sometimes they really make it fun and interesting..these little Aliens.

Just having dinner has become an fun event..i have picked up more pieces of food in the last 6 months than ever in my life. Peas flying, fish sticks squashted into unrecognisable pieces..fun fun fun. Not even CSI could solve these cases. But all of this time i spend now cleaning up pieces of food, changing diapers it still all worth it...even just one smile, one hug, one look into my eys to say you are my mommy. I'll keep doing it every day no matter what.

I wish there was more hours in the day...

Party Favours

Babyshowers are the one of the funnest events in someone's life...If you are arranging one, it could be one of the most stressfull event. Here's a tip to keep in mind when you are arranging this delightful event. One of the things that a lot of people forget is a party favour or a thank you gift. It is always a nice gesture and makes the attendees feel spesial.

Here is a couple of ideas that i "borrowed" from the internet, just to give you an idea of what to give as a party favour:

1. A nice and "sweet" idea is to give a cupcake, but make it special give it in a box, so it look presentable and beautiful:

2. Very adorable idea is to make/ order some cookies, of course packaging and design is everything:

There are of course tons more ideas, it's all up to you. When you arrange a babyshower for someone keep in mind how you would want to be treated, how you would want to feel as a guest, and you will not go wrong. Be creative and if it's not in your nature to be creative be smart and have someone make these beautifull things for you.

With a Mothers Love

Diapers, blanky's, teddy's & rattles...These things are all around you when you become a mother...When I was pregnant I had the opportunity to organize a friend a babyshower, and only then did I realise what goes in getting ready to become a mom...I was searching for days on what kind of theme and babyshower would fit with my friend. Website after website I search, with basically the same info over and over, and not much of the info being very creative or exciting....So I have decided to share my ideas, themes, planning list etc with the world. Hopefully at least one person will be able to benefit from having an amazing but different babyshower or baby gift.

My friend was a Graphic Designer at the time of her babyshower so i felt i had to make it special, pretty and creative. The theme i thought fit with her perfectly (at that stage) wat a "Nesting" theme, she was newly married and they were settling into their home and making a "Nest" for themselves. Her favourite colour was turquiose and i used this in their deco.

And the final result came out beautifully, light & elegant:

And of course I made her a Diaper Cake, which was absolutely beautifull, you can see it in the second picture next to her seat. I love babyshowers, they are the beginning of something beautiful, and the joy that comes with babyshowers are amazing. The ooh's and the aaah's are what it's all about.
